Bathroom Restoration by Atlas
Why go with Acrylic?
The True Quality of Acrylic
Atlas products are thicker and sturdier to touch to make sure they endure and provide the quality you deserve. When compared to traditional acrylic tubs and showers Atlas stands heads and shoulders above. We provide you with the greatest quality available. Compare and you will quickly see the value.
No Mold
Acrylic is not porous so it is not prone to mold or milder. We add Millguard to add another layer of protection to completely prevent both mold and mildew
Not cold to the touch
Acrylic is does not pull heat out of foreign objects like the traditional lead or metal tubs and does not conduct heat like tile and natural stones. This makes it not so cold to the touch.
Water stays warmer longer
Due to the properties of acrylic mention above and the insulating properties of acrylic and those we add during installation your bath will stay the nice warm temperature you desire much longer.
Heavy gauge for durability
We build our tub and shower systems to last and endure. Our products are most always made to a higher standard and are heavier gauge than those founds in home remodeling stores.
Ceramic tile versus acrylic
Ceramic tile, a standard in bathrooms for generations, has a porous surface that allows for mold and mildew, making it hard to clean. Over time grout deteriorates, increasing the risk of leakage. And tile that is in-style when installed may quickly become outdated. Acrylic is non-porous so mold and mildew cannot grow.
Marble and granite versus acrylic
Marble and granite look luxurious and have a price tag to match. In addition, their beauty is fragile because they stain very easily and require careful maintenance. These surfaces also feature grout that deteriorates with age, causing leaks and rot. Acrylic will not stain, chip or crack and requires minimal maintenance.
Fiberglass versus acrylic
Fiberglass one-piece surround systems have a short life span. Because they are not custom manufactured, stock sizes do not fit all bathrooms. In addition, mold and mildew can be problems because of the porous material. Acrylic will not chip and is UV-stable so the color will not fade
